There are two models of the Sony 3D shutter glasses, TDG-BR100 and TDG-BR50 and both are priced at $133. You’ll also need to buy the infrared emitter, which you need one to drive the 3D glasses and costs you $55 each. If you plan for an upgrade for a family of four, it’ll cost you a total of $587.
But if you plan to buy the Sony LX900 television that starts at base price of $3900, you’ll get a pair of free 3D glasses. Make sure you wallet is thick enough if you’re headed for an upgrade to 3D.
