Illesteva for Opening Ceremony World Cup Winners Collection






For the second time New York eyewear brand Illesteva has gotten together with Opening Ceremony. This time they have worked on the World Cup Winners Collection, with the sunglasses inspired by the last 5 winners of the FIFA Worldcup – Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina and France. 


They will be limited to pairs of 4 , 6, 6, 6, 4 respectively to honor Nelson Mandela. 46664 was his prison number when he was imprisoned on Robben Island in South Africa. 


Part of the proceeds will go to the Nelson Mandela Foundation. All Eyewear is Hand made in Germany and the collection will release this week exclusively at Opening Ceremony New York.

Corto Moltedo for Illesteva Frieda Sunglasses


Launching during Paris Mens Week in June, these Corto Moltedo for Illesteva Sunglasses.
The first in a series, Corto Moltedo’s debut piece is “FRIEDA”, a circular shaped frame with smokey mirrored lenses, handcrafted in Germany using a special blend of acetate.  The inspiration behind “FRIEDA” is Havana, Cuba in 1950’s when it was called the “Latin Las Vegas”.  FRIEDA’s Natural Marmor Acetate color way will be exclusively available at Corto Moltedo’s flagship store at the Palais Royal in Paris.

Illesteva Beca and Kleinfeld Sunglasses


Illesteva have released previews of 2 of their new Sunglasses, the Beca and Kleinfield models will be available later this year. The Jeffrey Deitch-esque “Kleinfeld” frames feature a 4mm Italian acetate in a matte tortoise color& the Beca is made from Italian steel with matte acetate temples.
